Learning My Shapes & Sizes

So, I did a Facebook status after Jason had asked me to help him with the airsoft equipment and it went like this:

Rachel is thinking to herself, 'Self, Jason is only trying to have you help when he asks you to sort out his magazines for his airsoft guns, even when he asks, "does it make sense?" I tell myself, 'Self, just smile, nod, & clap like Kimball when she's proud of herself for doing stuff - like walking.' Poor boy needs kids of his own to have fun & teach, AND to sort out his magazines "by shapes," before going to play army.

Yes, sadly he asked me to sort out his magazines by shapes and sizes...  AND THEN!!!  Asked if that made sense...  Knowing myself, I couldn't help but laugh in my head, roll my eyes, AND then add "no...what do you mean...?"  AND THEN to MY DELIGHT!!!!  He then proceeded to explain (okay, he says "demonstrate"!) how I should go about sorting the magazines by SHAPE and SIZE.  Hmmm...  I had to laugh!!!!  And now he's laughing with me and it's hilarious!!!!  I LOVE it!!!  Yes, it truly happened just a bit ago and I couldn't help, but share it.  :o)  It's not every moment that I can have fun and get him to say something funny and then have a great laugh afterward.  Okay, so I have fun teasing and taunting him much.  It's great fun!

Jason asked, "How come you said it's not everyday that you tease me?!  IT IS EVERYDAY!!!"

Tomorrow -- Airsoft at Harwood.

We also got to make a snow man… it turned out like Calvin and Hobbes snowmen. Rachel wanted to be godzilla and crush the poor defenseless thing. Christmas 2009 016 Christmas 2009 018 Christmas 2009 019

Hmm… so how does this “computo box” work again?

So I’ve never done a blog before.  But I figured along with growing up, getting a job, getting married, and getting OLD  comes getting a blog.  So know I have officially entered the ranks of the grown-ups.

These are a few pics Rachel and I took in Helotes one Sunday after Church.  This has been a great year for wildflowers.  The bluebonnets came fist, then the purple flowers, and now we have lots of daisies.   Of course Rachel looks at a field thinks “How beautiful!”  and I look at the same field and wonder “What type of camouflage would work the best here?”
